I disagree, moving twice is a long term and expensive solution to a short term problem. MCO and CHI plugs are both September hires. A person will be on reserve longer in either of those bases but I would rather be on reserve driving to base than holding a line commuting across country...at least at our current pay rates.

The mounts are very adjustable. I used to have an otterbox and not have a thinner one. Both fit fine. I wouldn't worry about it

The mount uses a RAM universal style X-grip mount. I can’t imagine a case that wouldn’t work. If you’re unfamiliar with what an X grip mount looks like, it’s the kind where you squeeze a couple of spring loaded tabs which causes 4 prongs to expand. Release the spring loaded tabs and the 4 prongs make contact with your tablet and squeeze/hold it in place.

Feedback appreciated. I have some other factors at play. There is one paid move, and a Florida tax advantage on some of my income. I'm still weighing all options but would prefer to only do one move.

To echo the previous post, if you're ok with being an FO in Orlando for a long time (my guess is 5-10 years) then it's definitely worth the move. Your first opportunity to upgrade will likely be Vegas or another base that is yet to be announced. My strategy is to stay put and commute until I know where I'll be based as a captain. If it's somewhere cold (like PHL or CLE) I'll just keep commuting. 😂

Vegas right now but you might still be on reserve for a little bit.

3.5 weeks of indoc with weekends off
1-2 weeks off
3.5 weeks of FTD/sim/check ride/LOFT with some days off
1-2 weeks off
3-4 weeks IOE trips with some days off between trips

No real “break” but plenty of days off you can work out a move. Just might not know the exact dates it will work until it’s short notice.
