They sure are balls.

The program was started under Reagan using discounts for land line telephones. The subsidization of cell phones began under Clinton.

The program tripled in size under Obama. From $800 million in 2009 to $2.2 billion in 2012.

You are wrong as well.."The president has no direct impact on the program, and one could hardly call these devices "Obama Phones," as the e-mail author does. This specific program, SafeLink, started under President George Bush, with grants from an independent company created under President Bill Clinton, which was a legacy of an act passed under President Franklin Roosevelt, which was influenced by an agreement reached between telecommunications companies and the administration of President Woodrow Wilson."
And yes, it cost too much.

You all do realize that the money for these phones was/is not so much for helping those in need as it is for putting money in telecom execs pockets, right? Neither side wants it to end...

If I remember correctly.the branding originated from this video going viral.

I actually see it more as a way for manipulating and controlling the masses.

Thats hilarious but what’s even funnier is that I’m making $164 an hour and you slugs are pulling $116.

Probably not a good time to be bragging about your government subsidized wage pal, no matter where you are!

It’s a response to those hoping I’m too poor to afford internet. I look forward to all of us coming out of the other side of this mess.
