I received this email. Is this basically spam to keep applications coming in or is this legit interest in my app?:

Dear [name removed],

Congratulations! The Frontier Airlines Recruitment team has selected your application for review and you are one step closer to joining the Frontier family!

Please make sure your application is updated including flight hours and the addendum which asks:
"From your first flight hour to present, have you ever failed, or not satisfactorily completed, any of the following: check rides, stage checks, line checks, PCs, PTs, AQP or any other training event?"

If yes, please include dates for any events disclosed.

Thanks,

Frontier Pilot Recruitment

Thanks for the updated info. Is the current training for new hires pretty much straight through or is anyone being sent home say after systems for example due to bottlenecks? Thanks again.

There weren't any delays in the footprint for our class. Any time spent at home after the first 3 weeks was because of the "line" you were awarded for FTDs/Sims. We had about 10 days off between the end of ground and our first FTD (and about the same after the oral before sims started) but that was because we had one of the schedules that finished toward the end of our class. We finished ground on a Friday and the guys who started in the first round of FTDs I think started either the following Monday or Tuesday and most of them just stayed in Denver that weekend. Some pairs had their schedules adjusted while in FTDs/sims due to instructor availability but I think everyone got through without any delays. Pretty much everyone was 5 on/5 off/5 on for sims.

Have you checked airline apps? I'd see if there's another addendum available for you to fill out. The same one popped up on mine around the same time I got the outmatch invite but I also went to a MTC.

I also received this email, a little over a month after applying. I went back to airline apps and updated my flight hours then resubmitted my application and a day or two later I got the outmatch assessment. I didn’t attend a MTC or get an internal rec. IMO, the email you received is essentially confirming you’re interested by prompting an update from you.

There was a prompt to reattach my resume and answer some additional questions. I did those things and resubmitted.

just curious. Why would you not take this as an invitation to update and maybe come to an interview. Always assume that is real and always assume that when you come in for the interview that everyone is watching. On the plane ride in and out. During the interview and in the waiting area.

I did exactly as the email asked as soon as I could. I just didn’t know if this actually meant Frontier was interested in me specifically or if it was a spam type email to get more applications in the pool.

There really isn't such a thing as "applications pool". There's people they're interested in and people they're not. Based on that email they're interested.

Similar situation. Applied for years at Frontier while I was an FO, never got noticed. Same at spirit, but they finally called when I got an upgrade in base so I declined NK. I’ve had a couple Major interviews and TBNT from both. I was brand new in the left seat, barely any PIC at the time. Now out of the blue, F9 sent the assessment, interview coming up soon. Even though OO is probably about to sign a massive pay raise, I’m not trying to make a career at a regional (slowly dying on reserve too, since I rarely actually see flying in my base as they outsource me all over).

Anyway not really sure what triggered the sudden invite. 3400 total 100 TPIC (just shy of 50 when I got the assessment), no 121 fails but a couple fails way back in college, degree. This is the first time I’ve gotten any attention from F9, other than the automated airlineapps email the first time I added frontier to my job targeting way back in the day. So I’m not really sure what piqued their interest this time around, I figured regional captains would be flagged as a flight risk haha. But I love the prospect of flying an Airbus, really love the PHX base, and just want to get out of the regionals.
