I’m guessing they’re interested in doing international flying. Not a weird question. Cancun is one of our highest overnighting cities so junior guys can get them no problem. Other than that most of our other flying is done as turns with MBJ and PUJs overnights sprinkled in.

Seoul is senior anything else you can get straight out of training

If that is the case they should not come to Frontier.

Or at least not out west. Back in March I think there were only 2 pairings with international layovers, to CUN. I had a flight on IOE that was a Mexico turn but that was a local out of a different base. I haven’t seen any in PHX either, maybe that’ll change soon.

Aren’t the customs gates are on the other side of the airport? Tough to make a 45 minute turn if you have to tow a plane 4 miles.

Yeah I’m not sure how it would happen. Flying AA regional, we parked at the high B gates, as did Mainline and British and Volaris. I want to say pre Covid I remember…condor? Edelweiss? I think condor. Also parking there. Anyway. After the T2 got knocked down and consolidated to T3 (weeks before Covid), everyone except AA and WN used T3. Canada parks there, I assumed preclearance airports. When WN opened up their new D concourse extension, I heard rumors they’d have customs over there too. Doubtful though, last I checked (few months ago) WN was still parking international arrivals at high B and then towing back to C/D.

I know in reality it probably won’t happen with Volaris coming to PHX daily. But I would like it some day. Mexico is kinda fun, I never enjoyed flying in or staying in Canada. Or maybe Hawaii…yeah right.

I don’t think we will ever go to AQP until it’s mandated by feds. Opinions ?

Yes but it’s also pretty difficult to get approved when the FAA doesn’t approve of a certain someone in the department.
