Apply to F9 and make them tell you no. If they do go to Commutair (quick class date and fast training). I’m think you have a decent shot at getting to F9 with your current qualifications.

So I just had my Republic class date cancelled because they're too fat on FOs and I'm considering just getting my ATP on my own by getting an A320 type. I have all unrestricted ATP mins and written in hand, just need to check the box, so to speak. This may sounds entitled but I'm almost 40, and not in a position to "need" to do the "regional grind." I just want to fly and get into the 121 world and not have to get treated like garbage at the regionals. I have 1600 hours, over 1000 of which of is Turbine PIC, and 500 of which is PIC turbine ME. Sounds like I'm a little light on ME time and need to ATP ticket. Would getting ATP, an A320 type, but having no 121 time and slightly light on the ME time still be enough to get my foot in the door?

Hi all, I just saw the meet the chiefs event posted for next month. I’m about to submit my app right now and just wanna know if I will be even close to competitive for when I show up to the event.
I have 0 121 busts, about 70 hours in the 175 and a 4 year degree and 1590 TT Is this enough to get looked at? Or am I still about 100-300 hours away from getting taken serious. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes. And go to the MTC.

Would going to a MTC event be beneficial if you have already received an interview invite?

An FO friend of mine, whom I recommended come here, did. He kept his apps updated and got interview calls from both UA and AA. Went the UA interview and he said it essentially wasn’t an interview. They told him point blank that due to having his type and being ex-mil, he was hired. Whole interview process lasted a couple of hours which included a tour, a brief HR/pilot Q/A and lunch. He was done by 1pm. Im told the AA interview is a little more involved but not much. |

If you have good answers for those, then it might not matter a ton. But it certainly wouldn’t hurt, regardless. |
