Class sizes are starting to shrink. Max of 30 planned for next weeks March class. I think they have quite a few candidates with CJOs in the hiring pool.

Scuttlebutt in the group chat was that recent CJOs were told class full through May. Our class of almost 60 seemed to nearly derail training schedulers. Ambitious but just not the sims or LCA to keep doing 50-60, is my feeling. Maybe they expected 15-20 no-shows a month?

I know someone that attended the MTC that was in Miami several weeks ago. He got an interview but was given a TBNT. He lives in Tampa and had the expectation of making F9 his forever home. He just got a CJO from Spirit last week and is going there instead.

We’re just hiring to cover attrition for now due to the delayed deliveries. Staffing is adequate for the current fleet.

Are you saying we should just hire anyone? I’m sure you friend is cool but he could have said something wrong or rubbed someone the wrong way

Nope. Definitely don’t think we should hire anyone. I think it’s an indication that F9 is not as desperate for pilots as we’d like to think.

Training schedulers and most ground instructors are totally unprepared for the class sizes. I was amazed going through ground school they hadn't figured out how to make it run smoothly by now.

The schedules have been so packed if a sim or FTD malfunctions for a few hours it wreaks havoc on schedules for weeks.

Has anybody on here been hired with a military R-ATP at less than 1,000 TT, outside of the RTP program? I have an app in and going to the hiring event at sun n fun next week.

I ask because at my current 800 hours it looks like my app won’t even be visible on airline apps since they have 1,000 as their required minimums.
