Why do you feel it’s superior?

I liked it for two specific reasons over the Jepps; route navigation just seemed easier. The information on the airways charts was easier to understand and readily available (hard to explain without showing you certain specifics), it was easier to declutter when you needed to as well. The second thing (and this is more related to international flying), was how much quicker it is to bring up information on a specific FIR or region you were flying over or into. I’m yet to find a better organized “Country Rules and Regulations” CRAR section equivalent on the Jepps. I might be biased to LIDO on the iPad over the Jepps simply because I had to know more with regards to international flying vs domestic.

never used but from plates I’ve seen, it’s actually not awful. At first you look at it like “wut.” But it’s pretty clean, you know how cluttered Jepp/FAA charts get.

now as far as the app UI, stability, features, gps ownship, etc. No clue how well it works.

If anyone wants to go halfsies on popcorn in a few months, we can sit back and watch what happens. I’m sure the “CBT in the summer cycle” will totally prepare 2000 pilots for the rollout.

Anyone been successful with their second interview after being turned down the first time?

Yes, it's pretty common.

yes actually. Got the unfortunate no and was told to try again in 6 months. 6 months to the day of my TBNT I went to a meet the chiefs and mentioned that it was 6 months and was re-invited to re-interview about 4 days later.

We have a very high hire rate on second interviews.

If you still want it, go for it. Bring a good attitude to the interview and it'll likely go better

Is 2 letters of rec a hard requirement? I recall seeing that somewhere and I only had 1 when I interviewed.

I am a cadet and CFI approaching 1200 hours. Would it be stupid and/or unethical to take a job flying cargo for the remaining 300 hours at say Ameriflight? I feel it would be good experience in terms of transition to a bigger aircraft like the A320.

Good question. In todays world it’s normal to jump ship whenever. It used to be a big problem to give an employer less than 1 year. It’s nice to see you actually have morals.

There's nothing that says you can't build your hours flying for a 135/91k company. Only that they expect you to fly 70+ hours a month. That being said, I wouldn't if I was in your position. Now would be a good time to start studying the memory items/limitations/flows and some systems for the A320.
