I wanted to try to get the same class but when classes started getting pushed I had to commit or leave my present position. That might have been confusing since I'm a JR and he is a III.

I just put my app in hoping for a Sept or Oct class because I have committed flying this season. I just turned 58 so this is my first and only shot at finishing my career 121. I'm too old to sit reserve in a crash pad so I'm willing to move. Live in Dallas so that would be ok, would love to move back to Florida so that would work and I'm from Chicago and our families are there. Even Cleveland is back in Midwest so we would make it work.
I know several guys like you, I hope you get hired. Have a good season.

You will get MIA or CLE then expect to get immediately displaced. WTF.

That is an endearing story. However, you seem a little tone deaf for a older fella that has real world experience. You may want to educate yourself as to what is going on at F9 regarding contract negotiations and how your choices effect the careers of current F9 pilots.

Yeah, don't you know you're less important than this guy? How dare you pursue your own dreams.

Welcome to the airlines :/

The great **** poor attitude of current pilots telling others not to pursue their careers/dreams.

Instead of telling them what to do, how about you help the current F9 pilot group and see yourself out? I am sure if more of you did that, we would get a contract quicker, just like telling people not to show up here. /s

If you don't like flying for F9 you should leave. Someone else wanting to work there should have no bearing on your life. I assure you it has no bearing on any contract negotiations. Flying for a ULCC and hoping the next contract gets you legacy pay doesn't work. Put your big boy pants on, update your logbooks and resume and get hired by a legacy.

They will all be getting involuntary displaced to San Juan, Puerto Rico when the next vacancy opens in 20 days.

Unfortunately I’m not kidding.

Hopefully new hire classes start again soon so they aren’t stuck commuting to reserve too long.
