Default Travel benefits

Hello guys and gals, can you tell me what the travel perks are for F9 employees and their family members? How about using ZED fares with other airlines? Thanks for your input!

Unlimited space available for you, your spouse, parents and children. You also have buddy passes to give to others. We fly to a lot of cities, but not with any frequency and not with an obvious route structure. This becomes painfully obvious when you try to non rev somewhere specific. I once gave a buddy pass to a family friend, and he his only option to go from DTW to LAX was via MCO. If he didn't get a seat on the MCO flight, he was screwed for days.

Basically, don't non rev on us unless you're only going one leg to a city we regularly serve. A lot of our destinations are only served 3 or 4 days per week.

ZED fares are limited. American is the best one we have. We're missing Delta and United.

An even better deal, is that we get 20% off the lowest fare for a positive space ticket for anyone on your pass travel benefits which includes a free checked and carry-on. I use this benefit way more than non-revving.

+1

Yeah there is a cost, but a guaranteed seat with free bags is really cheap transportation.

Great points guys. I think the 20% off might be the way to go. So other than the US carriers, do we not have Zed with any foreign carriers? I travel to and from Asia every year to visit family. Trying to see how to do this cost effectively.

There’s a whole list of carriers (international and domestic) on the intranet under My Travel.

When do the travel benefits kick in for use on F9? What about travel on other carriers?

Jumspeating within a few days of starting class. Nonrev on Frontier at the 30 day mark. ZEDs on OAL are all 6 months.

Thanks. I have an interview coming up and I’m trying to figure out how I’d even get to work if I were to get offered a job. F9 only has a couple flights a week. Also hoping the family might be able to come to Denver at least once during training.
