Ok....! Good grief—I should have said “approaching $1000.” In my highest earning month, it would be closer to $800, but a typical month would be $700. I guess that makes it more acceptable. I work my as.. off to earn a good living and I don’t complain except in cases where I am taxed with no representation.

This by the way brings up the issue of pilots working company jobs or in the training department. As a example Delta pilots living in Texas or Florida but working in the training department owe Georgia state income tax since more than 50% of their work is done in GA.

PHL Tax Issue
From Payroll:
Unfortunately, to my knowledge an exemption option is just a rumor. At this time, we have not found an option to allow exemptions so we have had to apply the applicable PHL taxes.
There are a lot of meetings going on over the next couple of weeks to get this sorted out. Unfortunately, I am not involved with the tax side of your payroll so I’m also not involved in those meetings but I’m sure there will be communication sent out once this is all figured out.

Go easy on the payroll department, at least the pilot side. BK has always been wonderful, and is the only person in that building I completely trust. The previous occupant of that desk was venomous. We should be seriously grateful to have her.

Absolutely. They have worked hard keeping things straight with the new contract too. If they say they don’t have anything to do with taxes, then they don’t.
