You voted in the exact same industry substandard contract that we have at Spirit. The company is taking advantage of the same productivity gains that we gave them and have stopped hiring because of it. I forget how long we stopped hiring for, but expect the same, maybe shorter because you have fewer pilots.

Sounds like the next class is scheduled for December 2nd, 2019 with offer letters going out no later than November 1st.

Industry substandard? Tell that to my 20 day off line and massive paycheck every 5th of the month...

Kool-aide a bit spiked today?

And there are A350 pilots at delta making $1million/yr with profit sharing checks the size of your salary. Every airline has outliers. Yes the contract and ours at spirit are below industry standard for many many many reasons. Just because it’s much better than the terrible bankruptcy deal doesn’t mean it’s even close to industry standard. I’m happy at spirit and hopefully not leaving but I’m not blind to the fact that we came up very short in a lot of areas.

We were 2 cycles behind. A bankruptcy contract. None of the legacies fixed their bankrupt contracts in one cycle. I’m not sure why you think we could have this time? WE WHERE NEVER GETTING RELEASED!!! We petitioned and nothing happened for 6 months. No one is under this NMB! As far as profit sharing goes Fapa made the mistake of giving that up years ago and your not negotiating for it when it’s at its peak cost. Legacies held on to theirs that they were given in exchange for major concessions.

Contract is over with, guys need to chill out till next round of negotiations. It got voted in, it is what is. It seriously doesn't do any good complaining about it now.
Next round more progress will be made... Until then not much can be or will be done

How many years until that happens?

I agree for the most part but we need to hold the company accountable to the new language. When in doubt file a dispute. If we don’t do that the company will set practice. The first year or so will set practice. Practice is more important than language that’s not 100% clear in the eyes of an arbitrator. When that happens it takes negotiating capital ($) to get it back. The language is already being tested. The next round of negotiations has started.

Probably about the same time UAL starts asking for concessions and increasing regional scope.

Some of this is valid. I was responding to the character that actually thinks it’s an industry standard contract because of his personal paycheck
