I think we messed up by not blocking out the first day of DOT for line holders and than opening it up to reserves after a 24 hour wait period.

Default Hotel Bookings Up

Keeping up with the good news theme.....

Hotel bookings have spiked since the Vaccine has been out. After news of the FDA's first COVID-19 vaccine approval, the number of hotel bookings at properties across websites for hotels such as Hyatt, Marriott and Best Western and booking platforms like Kayak, Hotwire and Priceline saw the largest jump in daily bookings since March, when the pandemic became widespread in the U.S., according to new data shared with FOX Business from travel technology company RateGain.

The company, which runs bookings for the travel websites, saw 9,512 transactions processed in the U.S. on Dec. 11, the day when the FDA approved the Pfizer and BioNTech COVID vaccine, perhaps suggesting that Americans are hopeful for safe future travel. To compare, sales between November and December a year earlier, before the pandemic hit, generated between 8,500 to 10,000 bookings per day, RateGain data shows.

RateGain says the Dec. 11 surge showed the highest number of room nights booked and 50% higher than all Fridays in the past four weeks. The best day for travel booking before the vaccine was approved was two weeks before Thanksgiving; however, bookings did not surge past 7,000, and they declined as the holiday approached amid the CDC urging against holiday travel.

Smile New Passenger Seats

More good news - The new aircraft from the big Airbus order will have snazzy new Recaro seats. They will also be installing gum proof carpet. First delivery from that order is in March 2021. Looks like my Lazy Boy recliner !

Recaro Slimline seats are the worst most uncomfortable seats out there and they are junk....We have had them for years and passengers hate them

Hard to believe any new seats would be any worse than the ones we currently have. Im quite sure that the number one comment I hear about Frontier from friends is “it was a pretty good flight. We were on time and the crew was friendly, but the seats were awful”

I re read the article and clicked on the link to the seat and it appears to be a new seat design. It looks like it has a full size tray table also. I am guessing they won't be comfortable as you say. But for $99 round trip for a cross country trip , somethings gotta give. When I deadhead on us I just sit on a sweatshirt that I always keep in my bag, plus I have a fat butt.
