Is a new base in May even realistic with current staffing? Article mentions 140 pilots in TPA

Luckily there are a TON of pilots in DEN to staff the new TPA base! I kid, I kid... kinda.

I guess we’ll see... it’s a big number and with the operation ramping back up next month, just seems unrealistic with current staffing levels. What do I know though...

maybe tomorrow they’ll announce a March or April new hire class. Who knows but you are right, MIA still need to grow and then add TPA all before a new hire class?

Wow. This place frustrates me more every day. Displace 30% of the west coast pilots to uncommutable schedules and add 2 more southeast bases. Just screwed every DEN, LAS, and West Coast Pilot out of any relief.

This is additional growth for what 120 firm orders trickling in every month ? Denver has been getting slowly smaller and smaller for years now. But well always have a huge Denver presence.

Well, I definitely know how Clark felt when he received that subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club. Glad the kids weren’t in the room when my wife showed me that announcement 30 minutes ago. I don’t think these guys ever heard of “Spirit of the West” Congrats again to all the crews who live in Florida/Southeast.

When would they need to put out the bid. I thought article said June for the pilot base. Not to be a downer but I don’t see how they could staff it without taking from Denver again, but ya never know.

You guys are acting like they closed Denver and Vegas.....

Lots of people will want to live in the Tampa area. I didn't realize Frontier owed you Western domiciles?

140 pilots fully staffed they’ll start with 25 FOs and captains most likely.
