Oh he’ll be back, like a bad case of herpes, or that ex girlfriend who stalked me and gets all butt hurt seeing me moved on and happy.

And I stand corrected on that. Didn't mean to insinuate anything - I genuinely were happy for you as I am for ANYONE pursuing their dream. Even if leaving means the situation may end up worse for me. I don't think it will - but the possibility does exist.
I can't really understand why you seem to be so disappointed/angered by the situation if you fully intend on leaving? That too doesn't make any sense.
I don't suppose you're going to site any specific news article - as I have - to back up your point. It's ok bro, really. We all get why you're posting...
While we're at it - anything else you wanna complain about?

A bad economy and high fuel prices are some great news for f9/nk. Our lower operating cost, already scheduled aircraft deliveries, and growth all work in our favor. The big 3 are all chasing the same customer as we are pulling folks out of their cars, bases, or other carriers. The unwashed masses out number the business traveler by quite a bit.
we are growing and expanding, which is always better than stagnation hiring for attrition. If the economics justify the big 3 parking thier less efficient aircraft, they simply will stop hiring for a pause and let the retirements balance the payroll. And replace those less efficient aircraft with new planes. True f9/nk could do the same, but we are already way ahead in a fuel efficient fleet.
when pushed, a seat is a commodity and most folks will pick price every time. The fact we offer the cheapest price is an edge. Sure we may have more fights to break up but that just adds to the excitement.

We have wayyyyyy too many doomsdayers here. Conversely, an unfortunate amount of company cheerleaders at F9 & NK.
If you were to make a list of all the pros and cons, I think numerically there’s likely more cons than pros, but if weighted, I think the pros carry more weight than the cons. At the end of the day, the attrition is real and is NOT overhyped. That said, Indigo isn’t interested in a $6.6 billion acquisition just to be unable to staff their new amalgamation of an airline.
It looks turbulent in the short term, but if you have any longevity left in your career, there’s a huge opportunity here. I don’t fault people for leaving, just as I think those that choose to stay see an opportunity here as well.
TL;DR: the attrition is really bad right now but the airline needs to grow — things will happen in favor of labor soon enough
