Wow so it really looks like pilots are spending 3 months on reserve in Vegas before holding a line (since training is 2 months long) and the most recent line holding FO is a March new hire. Thanks for the info!

Ya things have turned around very quick there and with the system bid for November it showed many brand new hires holding it. In fact many of the most junior pilots on the SL held it. It’s a junior base all of the sudden.

What kind of schedules are those very junior PHL and MIA line holders getting? Are they typically commutable? I understand that things will change soon but just curious what the current snapshot looks like.

Any las vegas based Frontier pilots that can talk about the QOL for commuters? Are trips commutable or are they more so one and two day trips (and fewer 4-5 day trips).

Also I know there are lots of redeyes. With seniority is it easy to bid trips that are commutable and non red eyes or is that pretty much unavoidable? How long does it take to get a schedule that isn't back side of the clock flying? TIA!

1 Day- 46%
2 Day- 46%
3 Day- 7.2%
4 Day- 0.9%

That’s the percentage of trips by days so yes much much fewer 3 and 4 day options.

As to your second part. I’m just waking up from a redeye. I don’t mind them at all since they are somewhat commutable. I don’t try to avoid them but I would say it’s going to take a while. If that’s not your thing Vegas is not the base for you.

Fixed it for you…

I thought I had seen trip mix by base in this thread before. Can we get an update on that? I know it changes a lot, but I start class in a few weeks and would like to know the latest. Thanks in advance!

I’ll post it for you in a day or so when the OCT spread comes out.
