Level 3 Travel Advisory Jamaica
State Department issued a Level 3 advisory against Jamaica travel.
"The homicide rate reported by the Government of Jamaica has for several years been among the highest in the Western Hemisphere."
"Sexual assaults occur frequently, including at all-inclusive resorts."
"U.S. government personnel are prohibited from traveling to the areas listed below." [If our govt won't go, why are we?]
"St. James Parish/Montego Bay—Do Not Travel" .
"All of Montego Bay on the inland side of the A1 highway and The Queen’s Drive from San San to Harmony Beach Park" [MBJ airport area].
"Kingston and St. Andrew Parish—Do Not Travel" [Plan for mx issue on a KIN turn?]
Does F9 alter their ops based on these sorts of advisories?

But I doubt anything like that advisory matters. Maybe if something like the Sudan evacuation a few weeks ago happened in Jamaica, it might raise some flags.

If you want something for the summer, a slide away from the typical juniper is worth trying. Lochside Summer Gin #5 or Star Keeper.
Classic juniper forward I usually go for Botanist, Botanivore, or Harahorn. Sometimes a bottle catches my eye that I haven't tried before and I'll give it a whirl. Monkey 47 was that way for me & I find it a solid choice.
Even though classic G&T is how I usually roll, I've also been experimenting with bitters. 50/50 success. Celery bitters were a failure. 0/10.
Fever Tree tonic is the control & I don't usually change that up.
Do you have any favorites?

A while back a friend at UAL went to Trinidad. Might have been IOE or just off. He didn’t have anything real pleasant to stay. But they were at some high level resort type place, so it was the standard “this place isn’t safe or nice but if you just stay inside the really nice hotel, it’s not so bad.”
I’ve not spent a whole lot of time in Jamaica, a few hours’ stop in a cruise years ago. It wasn’t a place I personally wanted to return to. But the hotels on the list for MBJ look real nice at least.
