The picture looks a lot worse than that. Frontier is definitely next. Using aircraft deals to mask up operating losses, their only strategy is just to be the last ulcc standing. And it might actually work since it’s hard to believe all form of budget airlines not existing in the US market. But as someone that has family that uses frontier a lot, their operation is a joke. They only put up with it because its cheap and they don’t have to be on time

While I have had the same thought and am out of here. Let’s not put that out in the open. There are a lot of great people here who for one reason or another haven’t left or it doesn't make sense to leave. So for them let’s not. This place is one thing or the other constantly but I don’t wish anyone here to go through such a thing. Everyone has ideas of what’s good for them and some believe F9 is the best option. While I have disagreed on many occasions, I’m not sitting here making them feel bad for the choice of staying. Wish all the peeps the best, just as they do for me.

Never say never but PE firms don’t usually run that way. A change in leadership is strategically planned to instill investor confidence, not create a shake-up. If partners didn’t believe in what Franke was doing they would’ve already headed for the hills with their money.

Indigo is Franke’s legacy, not Frontier. His son will protect that or the investors will flee.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Protecting the legacy is the operative issue indeed for Indigo and their vested parties. Let's face it, F9 is a sinking ship with only a hope to survive rather than a cogent plan. Why would Franke Jr. not prune the dying fruit on the vine to preserve the family tree?

This is a billion-dollar company doing $4 billion in revenue. There are hundreds of millions tied up in credit card transactions, billions in lease obligations, and hundreds of millions more committed to future aircraft deliveries.
