It’s behind a paywall but Franke is still going on about it.

spirit financials just got released for Q4 / 2024 full year.

it’s not looking good over there. Costs going up and revenue going down.

I am more inclined to think a deal will get done eventually after seeing how things are going over at Spirit.

It’s not over. All part of the plan. Every word and every step.

JetBlue walking away from the appeal I wonder if that wasn’t part of of the plan too. It would’ve cost them next to nothing but a few months of time to pursue it.

American and JetBlue just submitted an appeal to have their codeshare/partnership-thing decision overturned. Wonder if this means they've fully abandoned spirit for greener pAAstures

I don’t think anyone supposed that JetBlue was still in the picture for spirit anyway. American has resisted the breakup of the partnership the entire time. I think this is a no news deal in my opinion.

DAL and UAL reduce summer capacity. UAL will early retire 21 aircraft. How this affects our attrition and hiring? Who knows?

The recession is coming. No doubt about it.

How exactly this plays out I don't know. I wonder about 2 different things; how does a recession effect Frontier now and what does this do to our negotiations on the contract?

F9 bookings drop to ****, more negative quarters, and contract negotiations drag on longer.

Contract 2035.

you’re welcome.

I wouldn’t want to be at the bottom of a 17,000 seniority list right now. I would wager that alot of international travel will start to fade with the current events.

as for negotiations, we could all be happy we have a job in a years time. Who knows maybe F9’will be the only one hiring.

Hows does it play out?

If barry has his way:

Big-3 hiring stops for 1, 2 years

Thus, the outflow from Frontier stops (staffing issue, that never was an issue, is a super non-issue now)

Also, Frontier suffers some empty seats and "challenges". Barry reports this in an upcoming investor presentation, purposely and clearly that "all indications is a recession is coming, and Frontier will have to be "smart with costs"

Stock price crashes more, maybe to $2.50

Barry then reminds everyone that "you have a job, be happy" and that "contract negotiations are on hold" because his "hands are tied" dealing with the recession

That, boys and girls, is how it plays out

or the bottom of a 2,000 seniority list, not when you are the only viable ULCC and as such, the only airline in America with no wi-fi, no lounges, and no international network.

because when money is tight, people want VALUE. Mr. Passenger has 5 airlines to chose from now, each charging $500.

Does he go with No Wi-Fi Express?

what would you do?
