just another example of saving every single penny. the only person getting Biffle Bucks is Biffle.
nice how the company "worked with" the union and the safety committee to socialize this with the ENTIRE Pilot group and get feedback.
Lido charts used by exactly no other 121 airline in the US.
nice. once again, Frontier is setting "firsts" in every category

It's not a matter of comfort. There are multiple features not available or hard to get to that significantly decrease safety. I am heads down trying to find things on these charts that I can find in 3 seconds on FD Pro. You have to have 3 different ground charts to get the same info you have on the FD Pro AMM. God forbid you forget to put one in the clipboard then can't find a ramp freq. Are you embarrassed to call Ground at an unfamiliar airport and ask for progressive because there are no spots on any of the Lido ground charts? I'll talk about the NOTAMS in my next reply. Lido is LESS safe period.

Lido charts used by exactly no other non-regional, non-commuter, 121 airline in the US.

Not to mention as above the time spent heads down swapping between 3 different ground charts for situational awareness and trying to find a ramp freq or an airport spot that isn't there. You know where I can find them in 5 seconds without losing any situational awareness or distraction from the already high workload, inherently dangerous environment? FD Pro.
Unsafe? Yes. Less safe? Yes.

Really? 99% of US airlines can afford Jepps. You fly a 100+ million dollar airplane. Your LCA's weren't given the respect to weigh in on the decision to move towards an inferior product. They were only asked to implement it. It is surprising so many LCA's decided to help mgmt.

Unsafe? Yes. Less safe? Yes. Multiple times I have referenced the WX/ NOTAMS page in the release and found NOTAMS that are not in Lido. You where they are? In FD Pro, right where they are supposed to be. And I'm not talking unlit towers. I'm talking about for example two days ago a significant MDA and VIS change on a LOC due to a crane. I'm talking about closed and modified taxiways. These are things that need to be in the app. But that's ok, I'll just make every block out late while I bury myself reading 20 pages of unlit towers and 10 ft tall obstacles 150 left of the DER to find the flight critical info like this is 1975.

i know all the “spots” since I go there a lot. Did have to completely rely on my FO to navigate to a certain spot the other day. Otherwise I would have had to stop, or ask for progressive. I think the potential is there for someone to leave a taxi way while they’re pecking away to get the right chart. What you guys think ?

You are supposed to read the NOTAMs BEFORE you take off. If they’re landing NOTAMs then at least in flight. You think the charts are unsafe because of a NOTAM isn’t depicted while on approach? So everything was unsafe before FD Pro? Paper charts?
The only chart SYSTEM that is unsafe is one that doesn’t contain complete information. In that case, sure. But if it’s all there just not well organized . . . Unsafe? No. And I’m unsure of stats, but I’ve yet to hear about a flight that blocked out late due to NOTAMs. It wasn’t that long ago we didn’t have Jepp. The NOTAMs are in every release.
Im hardly one to make excuses for the company but if I ever read a safety report that told me a crew flew an aircraft into a crane they didn’t know was there or flew below LOC mins because LIDO charts didn’t depict it, I will laugh my arse off.
LIDO has been certified for use. That’s it. It’s sucks as a platform but it is summarily NOT unsafe. This over the top thinking is unnecessary.

Holy crap!!!!
100% completion factor yesterday? 79.7% on time Dept? Made all the goal areas except for mishandled bag rate?
Do we all get like 100,000 miles to add to our F9 mileage perks accounts? And a free oven mitt?

It seems insane to me that we can’t hit the baggage metric. We hardly have any connections! Where are these bags going from check in to destination???
