Since the LCAs didn't have anything to do with the decision, helping the pilot group by learning the new software and answering questions/giving guidance on its use is helping the pilots, not management. As far as recruiting goes...would you prefer it be done solely by HR? Think you'd like to fly with the end product if it was only HR doing the hiring without pilot group involvement?

Again, I'm seeing a fair amount of anger/ frustration that I think is misplaced.
Focus your energy on the mismanagement of the airline not your fellow pilots or union members

It is just what the company wants, guys hating each other, and hating the union ("for doing nothing").

So Kirby wanted the United pilots to vote out their company friendly union representation? It's not hate, it's business.

Something doesn't add up...
Ok, the distribution of lines (# of hard vs reserve) always seems to vary depending on the month. This has been going on a while and I never really paid much attention to it. However,
For Oct, Dfw shows 27 hard lines and 13 reserve. Phx shows shows 53 and 13. Tpa shows 49 and 17. Mia shows 28 and 13. You would think that there would twice as many departures from Phx and at least MORE dept from Tpa and Mia than Dfw. According to FFTpilots.com, Phx is scheduled for 884 depts. Dfw is next with 743. Tps shows 620. Mia shows only 255. 255 departures with 28 hard lines?
Same thing w/ LC vs SC distro. Las has 26 RSV lines of which 5 are LC but Phl has 23 RSV lines of which 6 are LC. Huh?
According to 25.B.5, the SSC is allowed access to the pairing optimizer for just use to study and analyze scheduling parameters... Is this happening? It's 2023 - do we not have computers that can figure out simple scheduling problems to produce a more equally distributed schedule? I was based in Mia for a little while - great people but I'm surprised it is even a station anymore. We fly more from SJU than Mia most months...
Perhaps a simple improvement would be to better distribute the # of lines...

In this industry call, Biffle gave an example of domiciles in PHL and MIA and said that PHL makes sense. It started at 16:40 and goes through 17:30. He didn’t say anything about MIA other than it is more of a destination and our future domiciles will be more origin focused.

I am gonna say that I give it maybe a 50-60% 1 day pairing mix and say the rest will be maybe 2 days. His "all 1 day like Wizz" model will not work.
People don't live in domicile and I have seen a ton who drive 1+hrs to get to work, what happens when you are delayed and the next day's flight you aren't legal for?
It will be interesting for sure. I feel bad for the people who commute and those who had CHI close on them.
