Hey just curious. Now that you’re apparently about to be a line holding captain. What are you gonna do when you have an operational issue?
You just gonna ignore resources like chief pilots, FODM, MX, crew scheduling, etc. Skip right to some rando on APC?
“Hey guys. Soooooo, I got this airplane with an MEL’d AEVC, with an FR. So, what exactly is an AEVC and how do I comply with this FR? Can someone tell me what an FR is, BTW? Also, I’ve been at work since 05:00. It’s 18:00 now, do I need an extension? Do I need an alternate for the snow in NYC today?”
“Thanks for any answers guys. Chief pilots don’t have a lot of success. No passive aggressive responses plz!”

All joking aside. Been here 2 months. Sent a dart for a jump seat issue got a call back 3 hours later. Did one for setting up my bid in navblue. Got a call back 4 hours later. Maybe you had issues in the past but the 2 times I sent a dart I got a reply back faster than expected.

Heres the only response you need.
Contract. Search it. Please try, it is horrific how many pilots don't even attempt or read it in its entirety. A lot of good useful information for your daily life. You know a lot of people, even CAs, dont know you can commute in the first 2hrs of your reserve window?
25.F.2.a if the section you are looking for.
If you don't bid in Jan, but are eligible starting in Feb, and bid for March, then yes, your Feb schedule will be built with a reserve line where you pick the window and scheduling picks the days. Its BS, it is what was voted on.

I just rode the company and contacted the right people until my issue was resolved. Now I can bid in January for my February schedule. Part of January will be reserve.
I read the section on scheduling in the CBA before I came here. Contractual language is different than SOP language. It can be interpreted. All of you are super smart, but for me contract language can be ambiguous. So I asked about it.
I wasn’t satisfied with the answer so I got it fixed.
