thankfully it is just a small percentage buying into the nonsense being spewed by the side that lost (and the 4-5 loudmouths on fb). Everyone likes to act like JL is so great. JL is the reason we have the 💩 contract we have now.
they tried getting rid of him before but the mec backed down because the other two threatened to quit.
this time they accepted their offer.
Ok, cool, good to know we will have a kick ass contract soon. Can’t wait. Tic tac.

Folks Expressjet (XJT) had a far superior contact , work rules , healthcare , reserve , min day pay, two min day pay on the same day, min day for no flying on a calendar day, trip mix contractual so no going to all day trips from contract 2004 WTF ??? And this garbage we have was from 2019? Yeah we need a new NC!!!

What was the min calendar day? what was the tafb?
calendar day was 4 so it made up a bit for the lack of tafb but still produced 12 credit three days. Was there still rampers opening up the cargo door to block you in immediately when pulling into a gate at the end? lol. All kidding aside it was a nice work rule contact but had similar low credit issues for different reasons.

This place only had tafb and it was 1-3.75. So that was fixed and duty was added. Two out of three ain’t bad in one round. Now it’s time to add min calendar day which was in the proposal.

min day was 3.75 but our stage length was shorter so would be equal to 5 hours here when you average a turn. 3hrs for no flying on a calendar day so people bid 30 hour overnights to go chill and soft time. You could finish a trip in the morning and work at night. Do (2) 1 hour legs on the same day for min pay of 7.5 on that day.

So that last sentence that acts like a min duty and would pay 10 under our current language. Depending on that last leg in, which I suspect was true at xjt. 2 duty one cal is 10. Of course one could be part of an average. I worked and voted on the xjt agreement 20 plus years ago. The min cal helps but at sub 4 is not the be all end all. It produces sub 5 credit a day sequences as well. I go chill at home for 30 on tafb. It can add up to 6-7 rigg. Spent most of Feb on those. Same thing.

The bottom line is xjt produced low credit sequences as well. Regionals have different Riggs. 2-1, low credit min cal, tafb less, ect. SkyWest was similar. Worked there as well. That’s because they have a different business model. The Union and management have way less control of departure and arrival times. So the riggs are structured differently. I don’t expect that to change going forward and we’re not going to use that model when negotiating.

So this is where we are now… measuring our contract against a defunct regional contract.
