Frontier has three or four new 320s coming this year, the first comes in March. Not sure about the others. The nine 321s start coming in November, and I believe they come one plane per month. There are 80 NEOs on order. The order was originally for 20 19s and 60 20s. I think there is a chance they will be converted to 20s and 21s. Doesn't really matter though, we get paid the same for all of em.

When are those to be delivered?

The delivery schedule really doesn't matter. If oil prices remain low the deliveries will be short term growth. If oil is normal the deliveries will be replacements.

Zoo are you saying at low oil we will re-negotiate current lease agreements so we can hang on to the older birds, plus new deliveries to increasing the size of our fleet?

Or, with high oil we'll not grow the fleet, but just put more seats in, use larger tubes (321) and more heavily utilize the same sized airline?

Are such decisions really hinged on the price of oil? I know it impacts the airline substantially, but I thought there was a fairly aggressive plan in place even before oil crashed.

The sheer volume of hiring has to mean something, and normally I'd say ..."but that might stop any day!", however, you don't purchase a simulator if you expect hiring to be short lived.

With all these new markets we've been testing doesn't it seem like they're wishing they had many more airplanes?

I can't get my finger on the pulse, but I find it all both exciting and scary: Hiring, New Base(s), IPO. Contract, NEOs, 321s, Low Oil,

Nevertheless, I'm absolutely positive that over the years Frontier is going to be an enduring force to be reckoned with. The businessmen will successfully build and work the promising ULCC model and this pilot group will negotiate hard for our slice of the pie, and to keep it a good place to call home and make a career.

Virgin has new rates, leaving Frontier and Allegient at the bottom of the pay scale for Airbus operators. Allegient is trying to fix their rate, so F9 will be up next to the fight. I'm optimistic about Frontier's future, but F9 needs a respectable pay rate. Until that happens they are going to have a lot of new hires bailing for better opportunities.

I've heard 4.4 a month are leaving.

I would have to agree with that. I am moving up between 5 and 6 spots per month on the seniority list. We had one retirement this month and the others are attrition. This movement, at its lowest since I have been here was 4 and the biggest was 6. It is very consistent.

Interesting to see how it goes. I foresee it not stopping... Especially with people being based in ORD and somewhere on the East. Whatever is best for each individual, that is what I say. I love it here and am VERY hopeful I have FINALLY found the place to hang my hat. This place works perfectly for me and my family.... Money would be very nice though.....
