Stating class In June and we didn't get our official letter till just before two weeks prior to class. I know it's stressful for guys waiting to put in their two weeks notice but be patient, you should get the letter in time.

I think someone had asked a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd post it. I'm a lower end line holding fo. For May, I traded around to get 17 days off, with 71 hours of credit. Then I took myself to 13 days off for 99 hours credit (prior to the 1.25 pay bump for hours above 82). Fwiw.

Seriously guys...don't hold your breath for a new base. It's been rumored on these boards for two years and we've passed many of the dates previously speculated for announcements. Healthy focus on what you have now is much more productive than more speculation on what may become. Rumors, rumors, rumors...small minded and useless.

But much less fun!!! They did "officially" say they would announce the opening of an east coast base in the fall, in the first LFDR. That may have been when they thought they had ATL locked down though...

I know, that's why I put quotation marks around it. I know it's frivolous. I have always lived by the old airline adage 'believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see'. I don't see any harm in rumors though. Occasionally they accidentally wind up being true...just passing along what I've heard, to the curious.
As far as the vacancy goes, I've noticed that a blank one for the next month always pops up after each award, and then when they post a real one, it changes to a vacancy notice with openings posted. Not sure why this is though. I've wondered myself.
