Also, did anyone catch if this new order is for CEOs or NEOs? I read a few articles, and none of them specified.

From the Airbus website it states all 12 will be CEO's

Just wondering if you might be able to elaborate. Did people in the same recurrent class hear different things when he came in, or just interpret differently? How recent was that recurrent class?

I think they're caught between what makes absolute accounting sense, and what they think they need for IROPS when our northern hubs go TU during winter storms. I think it will be in somewhere in FL - and now I'm $.02 deeper into the betting pool ;-)

Edit: And for double or nothing... I think we'll know by Friday!

Recent, and I chalk it up to the rumor mill since I know the people involved in vetting the rumor.

Sounds good, thanks! Was just wishfully hoping for the rumor mill to be true...

No it appears we are actually going to put 186 on the new A320's and 230 on the 321's. Multiple articles cite it as fact now. These may be the new high-density variant of both models. The max seating on the high-density 320/321 is 189 and 240. Airbus offers added seating capacity for the A320 Family while retaining modern comfort standards*| Airbus Press release

"The new aircraft will also feature Frontier's slim-line seats, the widest economy seats in the U.S. domestic airline industry. The A320s will be fitted with 186 seats, and the A321s will be fitted with 230 seats." - See more at: FRONTIER AIRLINES ANNOUNCES ORDER FOR NEW AIRCRAFT

How many seats are on Spirits 320s? I know they have the big front seats and a couple rows of extra legroom.

The new high density seating configuration reconfigured the aft gallery and lav to jam an extra row, but the plane needs another exit door, right? At least the 321 needs an extra exit, but I don't know if the planes Frontier ordered will have that option?

Either way, I have to say I was pleasently surprised to see how much room the new slim line seats have. I think there is actually more room with the new seats than the old ones. Hopefully these new seat counts don't ruin that. If they could reconfigure the aft gallery, add an extra row and not reduce the pitch, it'd be a good deal.

There was plenty of space with the old ones. Our new seats are terrible... Have you sat in one? It's like sitting on a doggam plastic city bus seat with a cover on it.

I think there is plenty of legroom in every row and I am six foot tall, there was several inches to spare. People just sit with really bad posture, but the "cushions" are TERRIBLE! I'd almost rather stand the whole flight, they are so hard! We should start selling baseball stadium seat cushions... actually that probably is already in the works, and was the plan all along!

I have only been in the new seats for a short flight, but I thought they were firm but ok. A 5 hour flight might be pretty rough, though.

However, I disagree about your comment on posture. I thought the new seats actually lead to much better posture as they actually have lumbar support. The old seats were like sitting in a banana, I hate them. To each their own, I suppose.

The legroom is nice and no one can lean back into your space, which is nice, so long as you don't plan on sleeping...

Anyone know the seat pitch on our new slim line compared to spirit?
