Sat in the new seats for 4 hrs and they weren't that bad. I prefer them to having someone crushing my knees because they don't give a crap about the person behind them. I am sure the FAs love not having to tell everyone to put their seat backs up multiple times.
As for bases, the most recent gouge I heard was probably no different than what everyone else already knows. "It could be one of five cities, DC, PHL, ATL, MCO, CLE? But CLE not likely". "The numbers will tell us what city it will be and we will announce it one quarter before we open it." Probably end of the year but who knows? I'm guessing where ever we have the most flights would probably make the most since.

My prediction is Chicago becomes the junior base, Orlando mid seniority and Denver becomes the senior base (duh). I think a fair number of Chicago guys will leave for Orlando, and the company will have to backfill Chicago crews. The Chicago captain bid will go quite junior.
Whatever happens, there is a ton of growth planned and lots of hiring and upgrades. Perhaps the million dollar question will be if the company displaces crews out of Denver and shrinks the base???
Also, what's the easier commute from Denver, Chicago or Orlando?
