I believe that at the moment, most of the planes will be growth. Management keeps talking about 10% growth per year. I know that a few of the older 319s are going to be returned as their lease was not renewed, however they plan on keeping the majority of planes. I don't know the exact delivery schedule of the planes (obviously) but it'll take a while to get all the planes on order. Probably 8 years if it's one plane per month.

We got to do something to keep up w NK's aggressive growth. With the oil so cheap right now NEOs are not going to be much more economical vs the CEOSs. Hopefully with extra 2 rows being added, the 319s will generate enough profit for the management to be satisfied with them.

Hey dang, did they mention anything about Delta squashing our deal for 8 gates with KATL? Had a jump-seater fresh out of RGS who said BB told them ATL prospects have soured, that Delta didn't take kindly to the idea, and strong-armed KATL. Said F9 couldn't even get the Atlanta airport to return a call or an email after Delta got involved. Quoted one of our top execs as saying: "Guess now we know who runs that city!"

This frustrates me. Ever since the word Atlanta was spoken, every pilot at this company looked at one another and asked the question: Are they crazy? I mean we're talking DELTA here! Come on boys, we're all depending on you, get your A games on!

The base will be the base. If management doesn't know where it will be by now they are well you know. Do you really think they would say Atlanta or Orlando will be are new pilot base and not have the gates and all things required lined up ahead of time? Oh crap, I forgot who I work for. We are screwed. Also, name a city that we would not be taking one of the big boys. We might as well go big and crush Delta.

Since Southwest has reduced their (AirTran) presence in ATL, and since load factors are so high out of ATL, it appears as if ATL would be the best choice. AirTran (ValueJet) had to build it from MCO, however, so that could support the MCO argument.
