Buddy flew MCO DEN few days ago. Said there was a cadre of new gate agents on his flight. They told him they were hired to staff the new domicile, and were headed to DEN for training.

Why would they know before the pilot group?

I don't think they would, except that those station folks more involved in the MCO specific things that might make them assume it was going to be a base. I flew Barry down there for "meetings" not long ago, and yesterday the agents there in MCO told me how many more they needed to hire and train, even though the operation was adequately staffed for it's current size (believe that if you will.)

I just think those guys might hear or see things specific to MCO and their plans for it. They also told me yesterday about all the new gates coming, including a few international gates. Let you imaginations run wild with that... 321's parked at international gates in Central Florida? Wonder where those will go...

Anyone else get another TBNT email? I understand the last one a few weeks ago was for 2014 but not sure if this is something similar or just a individual rejection... Either way I will see them this Friday in Chicago

There have been times when "announcements" to the pilot group have been nothing more than confirming an article published in the local newspaper the day before. I wouldn't doubt if the big new domicile announcement happens the same way.

I would not get discouraged by the TBNT letters. They announced that everyone who applied in 2014 would get one. Also be aware that any possible typo in the application process can automatically "trigger" one of these letters. For example, if you forget to check a simple block or answer a question like "are you 18 or older?"
Not sure if this is specific to Frontier's online app. But you get the idea.

I would reapply and go to the job fairs till they say yes or no in person. This seems to be the best route if your serious.

Two questions:

Read an article about Frontier (interview with management team) which noted the return to profitability and discussed that in some detail, but also went on to say that the management side has begun (and will continue to) return many of the concessions asked of the employee groups over the last few years. So is that actually the case, and what is first year pay actually like?

Along with that, what is the typical schedule of a Frontier pilot? Primarily out and backs or 2/3/4 days trips?

Thanks.
