Zoo,
I respect your logic, I've read your previous posts and it seems you've been on property awhile and are wise to management's MO. The info came from a source I respect more than most (PM me if you like) in a tone of frustration for the issues it's creating for their dept. short term. Some of the Info is also coming from the guys at SSS directly. I'm of the opinion that I'll believe the numbers when I see them, but Franke will have to do something constructive to cash out in 3-4 years. Run the op more efficiently? Sure. But if Spirit is any guide, growth will be part of that equation as well. I don't necessarily agree that the company has to take on debt with additional used 320s. The bird I saw at GYR (223) is from a defunct Japanese airline, and we're supposedly getting favorable lease terms, and more AC from that source while it's available. I'm no accountant, but it don't think leases are typically structured as long-term debt. It's more often operating cost depreciated same-year. As far as the atmosphere around here, I'm new enough that I'll have to defer on that one. I'm also in Chicago, and it's a much different vibe than you and my training buds describe in DEN. Having said that, and having owned a business a few years back, I understand there are consequences for creating a toxic atmosphere. Franke is a bottom line short-term guy, but NK is doing alright and moral seems decent given their current compensation situation- Maybe I'm being naive, but I'm hoping management is taking a hard look at the state of the regional industry- it might cost less medium to long term to create reasonable levels for staffing and compensation than create a revolving door? Guy left right after his type ride a few weeks back to head to a legacy class..... JR |

Why? Are you planning on coming here for a type then leaving?

Hardly...always thought a training contract was a negative influence on hiring, the one at Miami seemed particularly harsh. Much like the bonuses that never seemed to be worth it. A good place to work is a good place to work, minus the Sword of Damocles hanging over one's head.

Just heard that Frontier is opening a base in New Jersey. Is this true?

The pilot hiring page worked a couple of days ago, now it's gone. No longer listed under "Careers" under the Frontier page anymore either. I guess that's it until Fall, interviews included?
