Yes, they have a probation year which does not include the full privileges of a non-probationary pilot. A seniority list pilot is just that, a seniority list pilot. They are entitled to the same protections of the pilot working agreement. It’s called a collective bargaining agreement.

Perhaps United is reconsidering its decision to stop doing business with GoJet? Perhaps they came up with alternative flying until they can come up with an agreement regarding them? There could be lots of "Perhaps" that would be good for GJ or bad for GJ. 8 years left in their contract but they can't make their plane payments, what to do, what to do?
