Do you really think that all regional FO's would walk? ..... Get my point..... We pilots are not so much a team as many would like to think.
But I would do it. By golly! If I turned on the news and saw that all these flights were grounded because of a lack of pilots I would for sure call in sick for my reserve day...
It will never happen. We will all continue the sob story of bad pay and crappy contracts.

With TSA furloughing and GoJet hiring to fly potential 50 seaters, this brings the scum of a GoJet pilot to a whole new level. A whole new level.
Start talking to GoJetters in the terminals and describe to them your feelings.

I'm just curious, I don’t under stand, how is TSA furloughing pilots GoJets fault? Are they owned by the same company?

Yes. The companies can't co-operate at this moment because of AA scope but still, the pilots are able to fly for both certificates. Rather than respecting their pilot force, TSH decided to hire virtual scab street pilots to get around the TSA pilot attempt to raise the quality of life by a new contract. It's been said over and over I suggest you do a search or read this thread.

So it seems like there are two choices here in dealing with the company or companies that you don’t seem to agree with.
You can go after the small fish i.e. the pilots. Now if your ultimate goal is to affect change and improve conditions not only for your airline, but for regionals as a whole. I don’t think this would be terribly effective. Do you really think that someone is going to see the divine light after being accosted while getting coffee at Starbucks? Is denying a jumpseat really going to affect the change that you are looking for? You may get 5 to 10 minuets of perverse pleasure buy doing that and an evil chuckle to boot, but what have you really accomplished? Not only have you not affected the any change, but you are creating a bit of animosity to boot. You may not care about that now, but sometime down the road it may come back to bite you. Once again your fellow pilots are people just like you, unlike greedy management which is another creature entirely.
You can try and deal with management, hopefully through your union. The problem is that management has been changing the rules that not only you have to play by, but also your union. They have been affecting this change politically. Those are truly the big fish in this pond.
The argument comes down to “Take one for the Team”. Don’t get a job, or start your career at airline X. Help make the industry and more importantly my job better by not taking that job at airline X.
If you really want to make the industry a better place, you too get to take one for the team. By going after the big fish here, and actually voting for politicians who are pro labor and pro union. These are the people who can affect the most change.
If you your self are not able to take one for the team with your vote how can you complain about anyone else?

I agree with several things in this post. And I'm NOT defending GoJet but just from a human being standpoint, why be ugly & nasty for 5-10 minutes to some FO or Captain getting coffee or walking on the concourse? If anything, show your disgust by ignoring them would be the thing I'd do. I understand the denying of the jumpseat but to throw words/expletives or other things in along with the denial too doesn't accomplish anything. I saw this example the other day and the passengers were wondering why that Captain was using ugly language.
While joining the pilot ranks of Gojet might not be the thing a lot of pilots would do, my opinion is it's the greedy management in the end that ruins it for us all....the Gojet pilots might be a smart subpart of joining the ranks of the greedy management's decision but that decision is only there because of management. Just my two cents....

I just watched The Happening recently and couldn't help but think: Pilots are killing themselves. Maybe not in the literal way but it seems like something similar.
