You still don't get it man, it's not about you. And from what you're telling us you don't really need to go to GJ being a CFI with a good amount of RJ experience and all. Don't give us the standard "scab" argument of if not me then who? You know what GJ is and you're choosing to go there so don't ask for our sympathy.

All I know is that 90% of bullsht on theese forums is false. Because there are 4 guys at least that I know that were captains at GoJet and went to CAL and DAL in 2007. Majors Really dont care about regional crap.
I like how people on forums all opose GoJet but they get just as many appps as Mesaba or anyone else thats hiring. And if you would go to their interview, you would find out that even current TSA pilots don't care.
Thing with GoJet is mostly a forum thing. None of my 3 friends were ever denied a jumpset even on TSA. Beacause Go Jetters don't deny TSA pilots a jumpseat. whatever goes around comes around

The kind of illigal stuf they do and the ammount of people they fire for standing up for whats right or whats semi-legal is astonishing. And the kind of operations they ask you to engage in is totally illegal. I am at GoJet now so are 3 of my friends. We are happy. i was misarable at my passed job. asked to be there everyday 12 hours a day doing gorund stuff and flying close to 7 hrs a day. And on your days off being forced to come to work or be cussed out and fired. I am tired of that bull****. I wish people that posted **** on this forum would back it up nut just open their moths. 3 of my friends at GoJet are on reserve and they still like it there.
Let me ask you this, do you love to fly that much, or could you really not find another job that paid you $20,000 a year until XJT calls you back?

XElectro, FYI ALPA is going to be doing some educational stuff in the future, try and educate the younger guys coming up. Ever think that maybe airlines like Expressjet would not have to furlough if they had to compete with airlines LikeGoJet, an airline that undercuts etc.......... Its called GoJets perhaps because they found away to GO AROUND the contract that was mutually agreed upon by TSA and its pilots.

You are right though, whatever goes around comes around. It blows that you got furloughed and I don't know your situation but GoJets?????????

Oh man you have no idea, I guess you'll find out. TSA can't deny GJ jumpseat, it's a strict policy. Now why do you suppose that restriction is there in the first place?? Isn't GJ supposed to be a legitimate operation?? hm..... However, plenty of regionals do not even accept GJ for jumpseating even under CASS as well as major Captains. But it's not even about that, it's the fact that you'll have to walk with your head down ashamed to know that everyone hates you for wearing that uniform. To me it's not worth it, a career is worth more than a job.

Well as an ExpressJetter here is some info from the inside. We underbid everyone from the last CPA with CAL in 2008. We underbid so low that we are loosing money bad. We did it just to keep flying for CAL. Republic was really ****ed with us. But we underbid everyone. Listen friend as much as I like to help people and believe me I do. I like to look out for myself as well. In the area where I live we had 3 walmarts shut down and 4 home dopots. Jobs are really hard to come by. And I was not crazy enough to turn down a job with gojet just because of some principle. Gotta look out for yourself man.

The people going to GoJet are going because they "have put all their eggs in one basket." They have no backup. Even though I am furloughed, I have no problem working on the Farm and flying a small corporate turboprop on the side. Before I went to the airlines, I made sure that I would have a backup just incase I was furloughed. Glad I prepared ahead... A lot of pilots are too lazy to get off their bum to work a real job.

For those who are still judging people about gojet!
I was a over the road truck driver before ExpressJet. I put 1000% of my eggs into a basket of getting out of driving a truck. I did everything illegal I drove twice the ammount allowed and I studied when I was supposed to sleep, all just t finish my rating and pay for them. Because simply I had no other means of education. some days i drove for 48 hours straingt just to get to my home airport to get some flying. And I did as a part 61 student i finishe 6 ratings in lessthen a year. Then instructed for 4 months and went to XJT.

ahhhhhhhhhh, Not to sound pompous but I have a lot more inside info and what you said above is false. I don't know you situation but just know that the same hardships were unfairly pressed upon TSA pilots for trying to "Hold the Line".

I hope to see you back here soon
