Advice regarding GoJet

well thats the problem, too many people are too concerned with "ME", its the "MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME" mentality that got this industry to where it is today.
"I" wont fly an RJ at the mainline level <------Major guys years ago
"I" paid my dues, so do you <-------1st year pay, why it remains low
"I" needed a job <----------------working for low tier ant-pilot airline
"I" will give up scope, because I fly 777's won't affect "ME"
"I" will vote in B scale because doesnt bother me
I talk to a lot of senior guys at my airline that dont care if the bottom 500 guys get furloughed, they want their line divisors back up tot 85-90hrs, why?????????? because it wont affect THEM, terrible
You see where I am going with this?

It's kinda like the non-waterskiers on here that are encouraging them to "burn it down." No one could accuse them of lacking the balls but why should they continue to be the only ones making a stand here?

GoJet is being flooded with overqualified applicants???????
I know an individual who is furloughed TSA, and got hired at GoJet with less than 400 TT.
hmmmm........

Haha, the very guys who are being furloughed are going to one of the places that will be replacing them with RJs and FOs that will make less than unemployment, which will be them. So their kind of like screwing themselves, and screwing themselves.... how tragic. Will fly for food!!!!!!!! Yes, it's not only true for 200 hour pilots, that's why this industry is on a death spiral.

When I interviewed on Feb 4th We had mostly DCA CFI's and 1 TSA furloughed guy and myself (furloughed XJT). But 2 classes I had a chance of talking to were ATA, Airtran, and Alot of Midwest and UAL pilots. Aparently all Airtran people (12) quit about 3 weeks ago because they got recalled. I am not trying to stir the pot around here. Just want to share some facts for those who still believe that "Nobody is going to gojets". And that they are having trouble filling classes. GoJet is for those people who seriously needs a job and wants to stay in the industry (Not pump gas). Good aircraft descent work rules, small pilot group people looking out for one another are one of few things that are attracting applicants in large numbers. One midwest guy that interviewed there was a captain on a 717 for 8 years and one ATA pilot was a captain on a 75 for 10 years, all are being hired into the right seat. GoJet does not hire street captains as of Oct 2008.

ALPA is not a union...it's an association. Once you think about that and embrace the concept, it takes some of the sting away.
