GoJet Question
I recently obtained my dispatcher's license and upon submitting my resume to Trans States, I received a call back from GoJet and will be interviewing there.
Several years ago when working as an ACA flight attendant, I remember all the hostility towards GoJet jumpseaters (bad mouthing, CA's denying jumpseat, etc.) and I wondered if that was still going on these days. I've researched the issue and understand why the bad blood began, but saw that GoJet has since unionized their pilots. So, is it water under the bridge now or are they still looked down upon? I'm anxious to get back into aviation, but don't want to take a job that will cause me problems further on in my career. Thanks for your help!

I doubt you're going to get much open hostility as a dispatcher, but as I recommend to everyone, stay away from such an organization. While not officially a "scab" company, it's about as close as one can get.

Wow....
I did do a search on these boards, but not much has been posted since 2006. I was looking for some more updated viewpoints since they have become unionized and ALPA has given pilots the "ok" to work there. Thanks for your advice, though.

Take a job where you can get it. I hate to say it, but you could do far worse than GoJet. Plus, as a dispatcher you won't get too much beef about working there. The pilots are the ones taking 95% of the heat.
In this industry right now, you're lucky to have a job. Personally I would take it and run with it.
You're going to hear all kinds of negative things about Mesa, Freedom, Go!, GoJet, but in the end, they are all still jobs out there for unemployed qualified people. I'm not saying that I think they're good jobs by any means, but they are jobs none the less.
Good luck in your interview!

Gojet must be a good airline if people keep on bringing it up more than any other airline.
