Please explain how Compass is no different than Gojets.

Please explain how Freedom Airlines was no different than Gojets

The only thing I'm seeing different is the union representation-GJ had none.

Compass was a result of bankruptcy, and could have been worse. ALPA managed to keep it under the control of the NWA MEC, as a result negotiated a true flow up/flow down that helps protect jobs and cost management extra money to furlough. The interview was conducted almost identical to NWA in order to maintain quality control of the applicants. GoJet has none of these. The history of these 2 airlines are completely different. Not even comparable.

Freedom doesn't exist anymore.

Fact: Compass has better pay rates.

Fact: Compass has an overall better contract.

Fact: Compass doesn't fire as many pilots for stupid ******* as GoJet does.

As GoJet expands, the average income for regional pilots will decrease. Better paying regionals (ExpressJet/ASA) with better contracts will shrink while the lower paying GoJet with a crappy contract expands.

In that case, come on in, take a look around. Maybe you and Embraego can be study-buddies?

Incorrect.Compass was created because NWA wanted to get around a scope clause in the pilot contract.NWA said they would allow a limited number of guys to fly these planes , as long as the CP would be able to flow up, but more importantly that NWA guys would be able to flow down and still have jobs in the event of a furlough situation. Fast forward, the flow is gone but Compass is still flying for Delta.

Fact: Compass has better pay rates.
It didn't always have 'better' pay rates.

None of you mentioned freedom.

Hahaha. What a hypocrite! Every pilot knows that ALL pilots boast and brag about themselves. Excuse me while I grab my aviator glasses out of my Honda Pilot...

...Okay, I'm back. Another thing; how typical of you to be a bada$$ GoJet hater online, but your estrogen levels prevent you from speaking your mind to them in person. Go hide behind your smartphone...

Freedom was fought in court and won. Hulas ran the freedom playbook except made changes to ensure that it would not be overturned. So many people think that just because of AA scope, TSA had to create another carrier. Yes they did. But they could have used TSA pilots to staff the carrier and make one list. We had pay rates established with the company in negotiations but were later turned down by the company. The pilots tried to hold their ground and were circumvented. But things have changed at TSA for the better. Ever since the new DO took charge, the pilot - management relationship has been far better than it ever has been in the past.

And to every person who says pilots should speak their mind. There's a long history of G7 employees running to their superiors every time a TSA employee "speaks their mind" to a pilot/FA etc. Then all hell breaks loose (terminations/suspensions).
