GoJet Interview and Training
#11
I have many similar stories. The rich have been doing it to the poor since the beginning of time. I would like to find a comfortable spot in this business, with some decent bennies, matching on the 401k, and some operational competence. Then just enjoy flying, get my check, and get home to Pam and the beach.

What's always funny to me is that almost every single GoJet thread starts the same way. "I don't want this to turn into a flamefest, but..." "I know this thread is gonna get closed, but..."
Ever wonder why that is? And why, invariably, every GJ thread turns into a flamefest and DOES get locked?
Search the other threads, and all your answers will be found. Pilots helping pilots...Refreshing!

Relax, dude. I only meant something recent on interview and such. I know how some of the other Pilots from other regionals feel about GoJet. I really do not want to hear about it. These threads keep getting closed for the same reason. Pilots at other regionals do not want anyone working at GoJet. They are a Union carrier, Teamsters. I am a Union Pilot, ALPA, and do not really care which Union represents me. Let's all just try to play nice with one another, okay?

What is your opinion on GoJet's pay rates compared to other regionals that operate CRJ-700s?

Well from the info posted on APC, I would consider it competitive. However, I have been for fortunate at periods in my career to earn a lot more, although all too often short lived.

Well, I just checked the pay for CRJ700/900 at ASA, EXJ, and Comair. Almost identical +/- $1.00 per hour in favor of ANY. Does APC post inaccurate pay rates? Most of the ones that I can confirm are dead nuts on. I did notice though that Comair has a great match on the 401k. I also noticed their most junior Captain on the CRJ700/900 was hired in 1991. I feel for those guys, they have been most gracious with the J/S over the years.

Good to hear, that's a positive note, I have an interview on the 30th. I am looking forward to it and hoping to get the job. I have been flying 121 Supplemental (pax and cargo) for over 20 years and while I have some great memories, just somewhat burnt out on that part of the industry. Frats
I'm just saying have some respect for yourself. What you were doing must have been pretty rough. You put in a lot of time, just to make no more than 30-40k for the next few years with a super uncertain company business model. I just don't see the logic. But what do I know.
Good luck!
