GoJet Interview and Training

You don't understand this most basic of concepts. If the regionals paid well and were not entry level positions, then ALL of you that in the last few years got hired with wet commercials, would not be hired at the regional level. The regionals would attract truly qualified newhires. You would have to pay your dues being a CFI or doing other traditional time building flying.
So if the new hires at regionals are not truly qualified, how can they upgrade and fly as a CA in a year?

If you have heavy international experience, maybe several type ratings, why don't you seek out some contract work overseas? There are several companies seeking both CAs and FOs in anything from 737s to 747.
If you go from one place that had a worthless contract to another, you must have some skeletons in your closet that prevents you from getting hired at a quality airline.

Props have their place, just as pistons and turbo jets have their place. If you cannot see that, well, you just aren't that smart.
You are at an age where IF you move on to a mainline, you will almost certainly NOT make CA before retirement.... especially if you spend ANY time at a regional. If you don't believe that, do a search and look for the age 65 retirements at the mainlines over the next twenty years.
I tried to present a non-partisan forecast of what your life would be like at GoJet. I stated no opinions about what some consider the evil of GoJet. I only offered the advice I would give a friend who was my age and had to make a jump. I believe my theories on what would happen if there were a paramilitary or financial attack are plausible. And all of my statements on pay and contracts can be backed up. The only negative I stated against GoJet was that they fly jets rather than props: jets being the territory of mainlines while props have historically been regionals. Additionally, since you said you didn't like to be away from home for weeks on end, I suggested props since they offer more time at home (remember the old saying: bigger plane, bigger suitcase).
You may not like what I said, but I would bet paychecks if you ask folks who have been around a while if my post was reasonable, they would say yes.
I don't care if you heed my advice, but don't insult me for offering it.

I have to disagree with you on this one. There are plenty of us at the mainlines (or that were at the mainlines) that understand what is going on at the regionals. Do you think no one has noticed how much less domestic flying is done now compared to ten years ago? When I was furloughed I certainly noticed that regional flying was being increased.

I never said EVERYONE was hired with a wet commercial. Just those that were would not be hired if the regionals were not a truly entry level job.
Renslow was qualified, on paper.

Nothing this industry needs more than another selfish pilot!
Take a job at a carrier that has a horrible reputation in the industry just to get a quick upgrade..
I love how everybody at Gojet uses the "I need to feed my family" excuse. Like it is any different for everyone else...
