Desperation?

I wouldn't call it that. I had offers from Envoy, Republic, Expressjet, etc... why would I go spend years on reserve and wait a half decade + to upgrade when I could do it all quicker at GoJet? Yes it's a crappy regional, but the goal is to get in and get out. And Compass is the only one who didn't give me an interview so don't tell me I should've went there.

I'm pretty sure my pet hampster could score job offers from about 80% of regional carriers right now.

You can't get an interview at Compass yet somehow expect to quick upgrade yourself magically to a major?

Lets hope you don't spend your 2.5 years there and then **** someone off by some outrageous conduct such as getting a kidney stone and having to be out 3 weeks. You might come back and find yourself getting a "checkride with a purpose" that strangely enough you won't pass. Then you might end up at one of the non-"crappy" regionals, again hoping to "get in and get out." Good luck with the gamble, some guys do manage to get in and get out, although I have not seen any get out too quickly.

I heard of this kind of crap going on at go jet. I still wonder why people choose to go there in this hiring environment.
