It's awesome that you have personally come out on top with the new contract! Seriously!
What do you know about Silver's contract?
I didn't come to Silver as a "shortcut" to the majors. I came here because I was tired of being laid off...being a DEC was just a little bonus. I applied and interviewed here while I was furloughed from Hulas Academy and got my class date after finishing my second recall at TSA. I came here because TSA looked like a sinking ship and being 5 from the bottom was a terrible place to be after 5 years.

No one was bashing you for taking the "shortcut" that you didn't want. He simply brought up that you work at a lower tier regional(as decided by our illustrious constituents here on APC) but yet were bashing PSA and GoJet for being lower tier.
For the record, I know absolutely nothing past what I can read in the "quick take" about your contract. The same way everyone else on here knows nothing about PSA's contract other than the fact that everyone "said it was bad".

We all have our reasons. Nothing wrong with what you did now that you've explained why. Just as 61% of PSA pilots has their reasons to vote yes. I respected their decisions even though I disagreed with it. I honestly believed PSA will shutdown in 5-6 years had we voted it down and still voted no. Just as my buddies in eagle know they're signing their death sentence if they vote no but they still did! We'll see how that'll play out. One thing I can promise is that I won't be calling them names or threaten denying jumpseats like some of us on apc if the TA passes.
I don't think anyone here has the balls to deny a jumpseat. At least I hope nobody is dumb enough to deny someone a ride home because of something they probably didn't vote for.

My buddy grossed $6000 for the past 3 months. He's a 6 year FO like me. I've been grossing around $3200-$3500 past few months because I prefer 15-17 days off and flying 60 hours a month due to my other obligations and rather be with my family. I don't know what you bring home but I'm sure it's comparable.

I think everyone missed the point here. It's not about whose airline is better... You guys have made your choices in life and have to live with it. This guy has a choice now, and educating him about it is what we're (unsuccessfully) trying to do, although he should've done that himself. So I think the bottom line here is, why PSA or GoJet if you have other choices? And if you do have personal reasons as to why it's between those two companies, then pick your poison and learn to live with it.

Nope. I was trading stocks and flight instructing and made much more money doing that while staying home.
Don't get me wrong, I was sincere when I said I believe you took the faster route to majors. But where do you draw the line? I could've went to Great Lakes 7 years ago or GIA or CommutAir or gojets and probably be in the majors right now. I went to with PSA because they had a good balance of decent contract and upgrade times back in 2007-2008. Of course it all went to crap but who could've guessed?
I don't like the fact that we sold out anymore than you do. But our pilots (due to an awesome portion of our new contract) can make crap load more than any other regional airlines hands down. Last time PSA pilots said no to 900s to fly it for the same rate, republic got bunch of e jets. Tell me how that turned out for their $37 club.
