They are month-in and month-out the worst performing operator in the DCI portfolio.

Just heard from a buddy at GoJet last night... Apparently they are trying to change their upgrade minimums from the current mins to 2500TT/1000SIC 121. They are trying to attract new hires by "reducing the time it takes to upgrade to Captain".

Worked out terrible for me after I worked at "GoJetz". Now, I fly 75 hours a month (1-2 legs p/day), get 17 days off per month, great maintenance (which is a very nice change). I made as much as a 4 year Capt at "GoJetz" as a lowly 2nd year FO. If only I could go back in time. Oh the humanity

First they have to solve the problem with attrition, then they can focus on the big upgrade promises.

"Being a guy who was a month or two away from an upgrade award before the announcement, to now being an unknown amount of time until a chance at upgrade is frustrating, to say the least. However, I am glad that some guys just got some good news, as we do live and die by seniority-that's the business we signed up for. The thing I will be curious to see, and we won't know until time passes, is the efficacy of the whole plan. I agree with some others that this new plan would seem to have a better chance at a negative net effect than a positive. For junior to mid-seniority FO's who were hanging on here because the upgrade wait was still shorter than PSA, that may no longer be the case. Upgrade for a colleague who left here last year for PSA was nine months and the trajectory of time is downward. (Past performance is no guarantee of future results.) The idea that a two year upgrade here, in theory, may work on some, is to be seen. I am not sure which segment of the new candidate pool this would attract. For me and my classmates the upgrade time just went to possibly three years and that is for folks with previous time. To me, there are better options for new hire FO's shopping the circuit, than GoJet, and this new change does not bring us parady with the others, not even close. I surmise as others did, that this is a band-aid fix to the larger, more expensive problem of an inferior industry contract. This maneuver really isn't about needing captains, it's about needing FO's. It's about keeping a company sustainable, and as highly profitable as possible. I think it is short sighted and out of touch with the industry; but it does not cost them any real dollars to try, and so try they will. For those of use that are negatively affected, time will tell. Not everyone who just became eligible overnight will put their name on the list-some like their seniority, some may not want to be displaced to another base, some may not feel ready for the left seat nor want it, etc, etc. The coming months will tell the story, and I am just not sure this one has the happy ending for the company was hoping for..."

I have been reading a lot of things about GoJet here and I still don't get why GoJet is so bad opposed to other regionals that pay similar pay?? Aside from the history that gave them the nick name "scab airlines"???
I was thinking about gohet because they offer the shortest time in reserve (I care more about getting hrs than $$$). But I also want to be able to commute to my future base without being rejected for working for the "scab". Airline. How often does it actually happen?
