I will stop in from time to time to say hello, and I expect pics of our ladies in good form at the summit (Cass, Ms V, you both know how to reach me). Best to all from the Alamo City.
Poppa, I hardly got to know ye! Very sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Went through the same with my mom last fall, it was a MOST difficult time. I will keep him and your family in my prayers. Glad to know you'll touch base every now and again.....Hopefully, the ladies will continue to make you proud!

Poppa, I'm sorry to hear about your FIL. Many relatives, including both my parents had cancer, so I understand well what you are going through. Will keep you in my thoughts and will try to visit you when I am in San Antonio in September.

So, calcapt, looks like we need you now more than ever. You are just going to have to un-retire yourself.

OK girls, seems that poppa has to deal with some issues and we need to keep him and his father-in-law in our thoughts. Isn't it interesting that this thread, much like life itself, has all these interesting twists and turns. OK, let's catch up. Where is slice? mzkat? FalconGirl? Let's get all our friends rounded up and then we will press on with the wild and crazy stuff. I won't be on every day but let's work to get a good group and make this a thread to remember. All the new folks, welcome! First things first, it's nice to be back!

calcapt, did I read you had a tough time with a couple red-eyes?
You've got to leave those to us freight dogs. We're the pros, we get it up all night, night after night.

so lets get busy...

CalCapt - Glad you are back!

Cass - I read you flew Caravans as a FedEx feeder. Would love info about that - who for? based where? etc. Can you send over private messge if you don't want to answer here? Thanks in advance.

Small aviation sidetrack - Ercoupes were built in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Most, but not all, had no rudder pedals but rather Ailerons and rudders coupled - making a cross controlled flight situation impossible. Also, they limited the travel on the elevators so they wouldn't stall, but rather mush. Even with this, they did not have a great safety record. A similar argument could be made about the Cirrus today (the plane with parachute). Do you think that the safety features of these planes breed complacency...or do you think these features attract (sometimes) a pilot of perhaps lessor skill or confidence...which negates the safety features?

My goodness. Returned from my 4th day of ground school to find another willing participant! This is getting better and better. BTW, the members of the posse believe that less clothing is always preferable to more. You're going to have to take them off soon anyway!

Default speaking of Full Disclosure

Full Disclosure:
(legal jargon for vagabond. Thinking it might get the hot shot lawyer, well, hot)

It's been established in earlier testimony that freighter's package is sizable

Read the link about the size of hands/feet in the determination of "ahem", other dimensions and I have to chime in. I'm gonna vote with foot size...only because it's been my sad experience that hand size is VERY overrated! Don't get me wrong, while big, strong hands are always on my "wish list", they don't necessarily translate....So, I'll be looking down from now on!!

Must have been the iced tea I had while in class last night, but I practically did not sleep at all. Tried all kinds of tricks, but nothing worked.

In order for testimony or evidence to be admissible, you must have first taken the oath. Since the posse did not quite exist during that period of time, there was no one to administer the oath. So, how many beers did you have when you were struggling with the keyboard that night? I'm trying to get your testimony in through the back door.

Wild, I used to look up all the time until the day I looked down and found a $20 bill. Never looked up again.
