Stealth.
When he refueled by sticking the probe into the flailing end of the hose WITHOUT a basket I about died

Or.......what ever show that was where the good guy team skimmied THROUGH (as in inside) the refueling probe to sneak on board the hijacked plane.

Or.......

Well you get the idea.

Executive Decision. Steven Seagal makes a cameo, F117 (with a cloaking device) carries a team of commandos to do an inflight boarding of a 747. To top it off, Kurt Russell ends up having to land the plane and can't remember to put the freaking gear down while Hally Berry (as a flight attendant) screams in the copilot seat.

Pretty harsh critique Airhoss.

I've heard lots of people signed up to eat in really nice chow halls because they'd seen those "Iron Eagle" movies during their formative years.

My submission- I apologize in advance. For the length (nine something)(but it's worth it), for the fact that it's a mash-up of television shows rather than a "movie", and for the fact that it's featuring fling wing pieces of ****.

Hell, I apologize for everything, Chappy.

Default Started a plague

"Airport", which spawned several sequels, each one worse than the last. In fact, it has been blamed for launching the whole genre of "disaster movies".

not really a "flying movie", but did anyone see 2012?
I love it when directors just throws the laws of physics out the window

What's weird is how many low-budget aviation movies re-use Iron Eagle 1 footage.

Other notable aircraft scenes/films:
-Cliffhanger - Has a nice intro with an MD80 being hijacked in air from a small jet.
-Airport 70 - Basically provided the fodder for Airplane.
-Airport 75 - Poncherello is a FE on a 747, nuff said.
-Airport 77 - Bonus points if you've seen the "Long Version", which is code for a six hour movie that has more pointless flashbacks than a season of Lost. I think TBS shows them a few times a year to try to get its viewers to get out of the house and do something else that day. Sadly the idea of a B747 on the bottom of the Atlantic was later duplicated in an Airwolf episode, which sucked just as much.
-Airport 79 - Basically one long commercial for the Concorde.
-Pushing Tin - What happens when a bunch of guys from N90 troll and dupe a newspaper reporter into writing a story that gets picked up into a movie.
-Executive Decision - The best part is when Segal dies in the beginning.
-Passenger 57 - Somehow Wesley Snipes pulls one switch to cause the aircraft to dump fuel, which cuts to a scene of the aircraft making an immediate descent, huh?
-Air Force One - Garbage
-Turbulence - More garbage
-Die Hard 2 - Credited for spreading the most misinformation about Glock pistols for decades.
-Con Air - Would have been cooler if it was the JPATS 727...
-Eraser - JPATS 727 makes an appearance, fire bottles get pulled, etc.
-Snakes on a Plane - TV version has a nice dubbing of "I've had it with these monkey-fighting snakes on this monday to friday plane".
-Twilight Zone - There's a man on the wing.

I dunno. I really liked the original Airport but they did after the original oh boy did it go downhill especially Airport what was it 79? With George "Patroni" Kennedy man now that was a stupid movie. Nice how Patroni went from a lowly mechanic to a concorde capt though.
