"Let me ask you this. Is a non degreed Captain with a civilian background paired with a retired Colonel with an advanced degree as his F/O somehow an injustice to you sf3?" (Left Wing quote)
BTW, to answer your question, absolutely 100% IS NOT AN INJUSTICE!
If I left that impression then everything I've said has been completely misconstrued.
Sorry.
Maybe it was best just to keep things simple and argue about back packs? I think that me trying to broaden the topic might have been a mistake.

Left wing and others, if you're jumping on this thread without reading from the beginning I think you're going to totally get the wrong impression of the point I was trying to get across. Don't let Zapata muddy the waters. In trying to answer his questions (which he then calls "irrelevent") I think I've lost some focus of my main point.

My shirt is usually wrinkled at some point. When I throw it on at 4 am and then:
-Drive an hour to the airport
-Sit in a terminal waiting for my flight
-Sit on a plane commuting to work
-Sit in the lounge in the crewroom waiting for my showtime
-Sit in the plane for 4 legs
Towards the middle of the day it is not looking as crisp as it was when I put it on. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt if I see them with a wrinkled shirt..maybe they are having a day like me and after 12 hours in a chair their shirt lost the battle.
As for the ipod, if they are sitting in a terminal in a chair waiting for something and they want to listen to music, why not. I consider them being on "break" since we all know they are not getting paid. If music is their thing than all the power to them.
Backpacks...who cares. Next.
