I have read about Barry Seal with TWA, but his career didn't end so well.

I was capt. on the LR60 at 24 and received check airman at 25 if that counts for anything

I was a captain at Delta at 24 years old. Well, Delta Connection on a regional jet.

Made turboprop right seat at a regional at 29!

For someone like myself who is going to be in the right seat of an rj for an eternity, this thread is very depressing. However, congrats to all those who have MADE it. Hopefully I'll get there one day. It just won't be impressive at all, like most of these stories.

It's obviously all about timing. At UPS I was a captain on the 727 at 33 and 757/767 at 41.

Was his initials CH?

Don't forget, it's not just timing alone, knowing the right people play a huge roll. My 3 internal references made sure that my name was getting noticed for hiring.
