sweaters

ATTN: All rj pilots.

Please, please stop wearing those horribly cheesy RAF looking sweaters with your epaulets.

Thank you

Look, chief. . . Its not my thing. I'm too warm all the time to wear any sweater anyway. However, you should mind your own business, unless you want to be an advocate for all pilots getting rid of their service caps, uniform shirts, and trench overcoats. They are all military dress items. I'm sick of listening to hypocrites. If what they are wearing looks professional and keeps them warm, I say enjoy.

Naw, I'm good. Thanks for the input though.

I guess I'm in the clear since I fly a lowly turboprop. You know what else is kinda gay? Checking out other dudes and dispensing fashion advice. Just sayin'...

I wear one under my jacket,I never wear just the sweater , it's way too cold wearing the jacket only based up north, I think they are way better than the Wana be neo matrix trench coats that most dtw/msp wear.... Those look like trash in my opinion

BrewMaster 01-29-2012 08:01 AM

How are those worse than the trench coats? Not everyone can afford the $7k leather jackets. At our company, we aren't allowed to wear the epaulettes, but the sweater is approved.

Why are you so militant against them? Because they look "gay" is rediculous. Somebody has some issues.... They usually look cleaner and neater than a stained/wrinkled white shirt anyways. Don't be such a tool. There are bigger problems in the industry.

Why only RJ pilots? You do realize that that style of sweater is prevalent throughout the entire industry and have been around for a while. You also realize that everything on our uniform can trace its origins back to the military.

Your stupid posts have actually just convinced me to go buy a couple of them.

B200 Hawk 01-29-2012 08:29 AM

They are comfortable and warm. Also it comes in handy when the company orders you a jacket that is way too small and makes it impossible to return.

You bring up such a great point umm...**************?

But what if a pilot is gay, then are they allowed to wear them? Also what should straight people wear?

By the way, I am glad you are around to help out newcomers. This industry needs more people: like you. :rolleyes
