Tool of the day

You may be thinking of "Freddie the Fox" at Delta. He was a very annoying creature, and someone eventually abducted him from his den in a flight bag. The CP arranged Freddie's release, on condition that he never fly again.

Continental Express right?
Whatever happened to three cups or whatever his nickname was?
speaking of that time, there was a CLE Captain that always wanted to be right and argue against you. Complete tool of tools. But what was fun, you could get him to argue against himself on the next trip.

Heard it at least once a week whilst flying in Euroland from US carrier pilots heading west bound. We were lucky if they were transmitting on guard so they would not tie up busy London Control's frequency. Very entertaining though.

I can remember a F/O who referred to the as "The Squadron". Would always where the nomex gloves in the cockpit. Captain Nomex. Loved that third wire on landings. Left a bottle of KY on the pedestal to go along with his nomex one day. Never did say thank you though.
