During pink month, I flew with a guy who constantly and ardently tried convince me that cancer was an epidemic caused by poor habits. Little did he know that I had just lost my own grandfather and that my father had been diagnosed two days before.

Hints didn't work, it became a quiet four-day...

Those that use their call sign in the plural, Deltas XXXX or Continentals XXXX. What are you? A flight of 2?

I can remember back in the eighties flying with a butt hole on the DC-9 when the controller asked how our ride was, he put his paper down, looked over his reading glasses and told me to tell him its smooth. Thanks for the instruction captain, I could have never figured that one out. BIG TOOL!
Ha ha I've had several FO's that when the controllers ask them how the ride is or "say flight conditions" they look over at me as if to give the answer. Guess your -9 CA was their CFI

Couldn't tell you. I don't have a UHF radio, and even if they're transmitting on VHF I wouldn't know if they're military or not.
I wasn't implying this is something that a flight lead does, but I can see how it an be interpreted that way.

BTW, have you filled out your Alaska app yet?

anyone who makes their call sign plural (e.g. Delta --> Delta's, and sadly I've heard "acey's"). And an ATC nomination for that really surly guy works ATL ground/tower.
It's not plural, it is possessive 's.
I am pretty sure they mean Delta's not Deltas. Since they belong to Delta Air Lines.
Just my guess.

Ex. The boy's basketball.

Not at all. It sure doesn't say "super tool callsigns allowed for mainline carriers" in the AIM.

Delta One-Twenty-Three Heavy.

Cactus Twelve-Forty.

Etc. None of this stupid 's stuff.
