While it may make someone feel good on any given day, it makes things that much harder for the rest of us long term. Check the rage at the parking lot/hotel checkout Darth Grumpy. As dumb as whatever they're saying or doing may be, lashing out only brings it back to us 10 fold.

ahem- ATC was laying into the airplane, not the other way around.

I'm very passive aggressive when it comes to the TSA... if they start making my life more difficult, I ensure that their day gets just a bit worse. Luckily that has been a rarity recently.

As George Bernard Saw famously quipped:

I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.
It is offered for your consideration that the TSA has more ability to make your life more difficult than your impact on theirs. Worse, if things ever go particularly sideways the local prosecutor is funded by the US Government and immune from your attempts to seek retribution. ... even to the extent that they engage in making up evidence!

We have quaint notions about Government for the people, but in reality, we're just a Third World Kleptocracy. The sooner you bow to authority (without regard for its legitimacy) the happier man you will be. The players are the winners :)

Oh I know in that particular example it was. I'm just commenting on the rage against the machine types that have to get their catharsis on by venting. It rarely results in reprogramming anyone and we all have to live with the fallout.

No one has mentioned the ones that wear black tennis shoes or clogs. I know Super has a great pic on a guy doing just that. :D

How about the young pilot seating at the hotel lobby early in the morning, in uniform, drinking his coffee and reading the newspaper…

…even though his show is not until 3:15pm

You have got to be kidding me.

My tool of the day:

Traveling standby out of LAS, and I actually make the flight (2 empty seats). But there's no space in the overhead bins where I'm sitting, so I toss my bag into one of the open bins in first class. The following conversation ensued, verbatim:

Tool in 1st class: "You didn't just crush my laptop, did you?"
Me: "Yeah. I smashed it to pieces."
Tool in 1st class: "Don't get smart with me!"
Me: "Who the hell are you?"
Tool in 1st class: stammers...everyone starts to giggle, I walk back to my seat & a dude high-fives me.

^^^ Was not in uniform when that happened :D thank god

Saw one this morning at 6:15 AM at our ATL layover hotel. I'm rubbing the sleep out of my eyes as I stumble for my van 1 minute before departure. I'm like, "what?" Pretty soon he'll be tired and jaded too.;)

I'm not sure which one of you qualifies as the tool :)
