On a Virgin flight? How long ago was this? Recently, VA pilots can sit in the FA jumpseat (xtra 1 or 3 jumpseats, depending on plane configuration), and I know I would do that to get a non-VA pilot into the flight deck. I can't imagine there being those who wouldn't.

I nominate a tsa agent in JFK that was having trouble communicating with a Korean woman. Said tsa agent decides to pull our Asian American flight attendant over so she could communicate with her. "yo, Yo. I can't talk to this lady, you speak asian right? Can you talk Asian to her for me?"

Our FA was born in ny and spoke only English.

0.5% of airline pilots would have gotten the reference. ;)

Ehh, it was a long 4 day and I was flying with Micromanage Mike.....pretty sure making any comment on guard would've had him putting in an ASAP.

Maybe jack off is too strong of a word, but after hearing it continuously on multiple legs jack off comes to mind.

Sorry, I agree with Luv2Rotate. I try to always load/unload my own bag. I'll tip for good service, but I will not tip for a societal expectation of automatic tipping for nothing.

I'm sorry guys, but I typically always tip unless the driver is specifically obnoxious or rude.

The drivers are typically always on time before each of our departures in the morning and at the end of our last leg in the evening. The drivers are typically always willing to put my bags in the back and some even goes as far as setting up the handle and putting the carry-on on it's latch.

The way I see it these drivers are working later and earlier than us on any given day at much less the pay. I don't pretend to understand their circumstances since it's not my business, but I'll be happy to toss a driver a tip one way or another.

It's entirely up to each of you, but I'd give these guys a break.

That was actually the one major bone I had to pick with the most recent training program I went through. They said if the FD is on, you strictly follow it. Not good.. not good at all. Scan first, then look at the bars, they should verify what you want to do.

I just want to know how true that MEM near ditching story is in the "Are you Thrustworthy Pilot?" article.
