What a great guy, hope he's enjoying retirement!
Was this the controller on Denver center? I always liked that guy.

The Angry Grandmother on AA who shouted at me for taking pictures out the window when I was passengering from SJO to MIA. Was an SLR not a cell phone.

Did you just make up that word?

Maybe I did. I sounded right :)

Right about Luanda, but no worries about the lights at FL 450

Tell that to the C-141 crew who collided with a German military jet at 430 just off the coast at 2:00 am. Both crashed into the South Atlantic. Good buddy of mine was the AC.

My nomination goes to a certain AA 75 crew in LAX today who taxied the quintessential 3kt AA taxi, then was number 4 for takeoff, but still needed an extra "few" minutes on the runway. TOOL!

Sorry for the loss of a friend. But the collision occurred at FL 350, after the German crew failed to climb to FL 390 as in their flight pan. If either had been at 430, no collision. Not being argumentative, but I survived a mid-air that also killed a good friend. And there isn't much traffic at 450.

They'd probably turn their noses up at you too. ;)

the mesa chick going into CLT today that had to divert into Columbia.

If the voice wasnt bad enough, dont call the controller saying that if you dont get into CLT soon you will cause a diversion. For one there were 10+ airplanes holding around you and the airport was still closed. Its called MIN FUEL, when you said 5 times that if you didnt get into CLT soon you would divert, and the controller kept saying say again, he was not asking you to repeat it, he was saying say min fuel or ****!

Rant over, but get the mic out of your nose or shutup, your not the only one diverting, hence the gongo line to Columbia.
